Our Gratitude in PDF form :) "Resources Centering Ecology and Disability"
A Heartfelt Thank You to the Donors and Supporters who empower our Culture Shakers!
🤝 Dear Culture Pushers,
As we approach the end of this year, we want to offer you, our donors and supporters a heartfelt expression of our gratitude. By funding fellowships and programs, you empower culture-shakers who challenge norms and revitalize communities.
The following PDF guide “Resources centering Ecology & Disability” is part of our fundraising efforts to continue championing more artists and organizers in 2024! It is crafted from Culture Push's queer-disability-ecology centered public programming, and encapsulates our mission of empowering civic action through socially-engaged art. Your donations will directly advance art that transforms lives.
In 2024, we aim to expand our reach. With your help, we will:
Spotlight more boundary-pushing artists through our Fellowship for Utopian Practice. This program gives creators the resources to realize inventive civic projects and make meaningful connections.
Uplift visionaries like our Fellows and Associated Artists. This stellar group is engaging communities in eye-opening ways—from building environmental resilience to sparking joy through play.
Sustain our dedicated staff. This team of arts professionals pours passion into uplifting artists’ visions with care and innovation. Your support empowers them to make an even greater impact.
Remove barriers to access. We strive to make the arts welcoming for all by providing accommodations and casting light on overlooked perspectives.
🙌🏽 so many ways to give…

🔸 Culture Push Fellow Branden Janese is looking for contributors and interns.
We are looking for creators to contribute to our limited edition anthology. Applicants must reside in New York State.
51 Words: An Examination of Language Evolution is an anthology focused on the radical evolution of the English language. This project is curated by writer and researcher Branden Janese and is sponsored by the New York State Council of the Arts.
51 Words is a reaction to the radical changes that our language has gone through in the past several decades. How have some of the biggest historical events changed our language? What have contemporary artists learned from these changes? What’s next for our language and the ways we use it? These are some questions that 51 Words will challenge the readers to think about. This project will be a mix of fiction, poetry, nonfiction and interviews. All of the featured works will focus on the radical changes of language evolution
This project’s intended audience includes readers who are aware of the radical changes in language we’ve witnessed - here in New York City and nationally - and are curious to learn what these changes mean for us now and how these changes will affect our futures. This project will cater to forward thinking readers who are not afraid of change, rather they embrace it and are eager to expand with the times.
We are accepting Fiction, Nonfiction, Illustration/Graphic design, Research/Data, Interviews, and Criticism/Reviews.
Selection process: Our editors will review your work samples thoroughly and make a decision within three weeks or less. Selected contributors must attend a reading presentation upon the anthology's release in Winter 2024 in New York City. Each selected contributor will receive a $300 payment.
